Plus a travel book with step-by-step instructions on 40 basic variations the magic square design is capable of - from simple geometric designs to pictorial designs. All double sided and quilt as you go. That little pouch you make is a tiny quilt - after inserting the batting scraps and enclose it. The Magic Square design, as one of Liuxin's trio invention - is a result of my effort to create an easy no-brainer for my busy travels that are better and easier than traditional hexagons and the popular quilt as you go design that you have to cut, sandwich and baste everything together before you sew which is too bulky to travel with and too much preparation - and still needs my regulators to stitch the finished shapes together!

This device made no sense until I learned how to use it - funny, that - but it is just so ingenious that it's a joy to use. Not being the inventive type myself, I usually just take whatever is 'out there' and would never think of ways to make something easier or more effective. That is Luixin's special genius and I can avow that if you use the magic square (with the seam folder and stitch regulator) you will be delighted with what you can do. I have even made a special apron with a pocket so I can carry the whole package and add a few more stitches as soon as an opportunity presents itself.
