Sterling Sliver, Hand made to fit individual fingers.

This is the best thimble I have owned. I love to quilt with it. It gives me good control of the needle and my stitches look small. I will be sorry if I see this thimble discontinued from your line.

I bought one of these for my finger some years ago, and found it so good I bought a second one for my thumb so I can quilt in both directions. When you quilt with these you hold your hand close to the anatomically neutral position, and can quilt with minimal extra load on the joints of the fingers and wrist. I find quilting with these completely comfortable.
My arthritis is inflammatory rather than osteoarthritis, but I would think the same principles would apply in both cases.
Thank you, Annie, for sharing your insights with fellow quilters who also suffer arthritis... I hope to improve on my design of a new thimble for arthritis fingers soon... -Cheers, Liuxin

because of arthritis I quilt with my thumb. I used to use my thumb nail to push the needle through until I saw Liuxin at a show some 8 years ago. I have two old style silver thimbles and am very happy with them. Can highly recommend.

I purchased my 'old style' silver thimbles for finger and thumb in 2001 after one of Liuxin's classes at Symposium.
I liked them so much that I even had a few extra dimples drilled on the side so I could use the finger thimble for piecing as I could not find any other thimble that fitted so well and could hold the needle without slipping.
