Product Description

$20/a set of three packets. Choose any size you like and place your choice of sizes in the "order comment" column.

Thimblelady's fine hand sewing needles are made of sergical steel. They are made sharper and thinner with a smoother surface - egonomically designed to reduce the stress on sewing hands from "pinching", "pushing" and "pulling" needles.

How needle matters? The Length and gauge of a needle matters to the ease or stress on your sewing hand. Use thick and short needles against densely woven materials hurt sewing hands. Relatively long needle, thin needle with sharp points and smooth surface are key to better hand sewing without pain!

That is why Thimblelady's needles only come in 3 Sizes designed for the general three densities and thicknesses of materials. All technical dimensions of each Size needles and instructions on how to match needle with density of weaves of materials you sew are on the back of each packaging of the needles.

L: best for hand piecing and hand quilting for large hands, M: best for hand quilting and piecing for small and medium size hands and hand applique and all general hand sewing of general projects; S: for finest needle turn applique using the finest and densest weave fabrics, such as batik fabrics etc.

Thimblelady tips:

*For needle turn applique: Use Size S needle for Thimbleldy's innovative applique techniques and #100 YLI silk thread for finest applique result, for easy threading! Size M and L are plenty good enough if you have large hands and your applique designs are around simple to intermediate level skill: meaning with reasonably wide seams (such as 1/4inch or 1/8 in wide seams) and your projects materials are general commercial materials. Size S needle can be used for all level needle turn applique but it is a must for advanced needle turn skills with very fine seams to turn!

*For hand piecing (whipstitch piecing): Double the YLI Silk thread and use Size S needle and stitch with Thimblelady's new invention - the Stitch Regulator to achieve perfect piecing stitches with ease!

*For hand piecing (American method): Use Size M needle - thin and long, so you can load many stitches at a time. Easy and Fast.

*For hand quilting: Thimblelady's fine, long and sharp Size M is the best if you can quilt with Thimblelady's pain free hand quilting technique (no pricking fingers and load 14 stitches at a time) for general quality and densities of commercial materials. Size L needle is great and more comfortable for quilters and sewers with large hands. Just make sure you choose looser weave materials to sew with thicker needles! Thimblelady's fine cotton satin is the very best for fine stitches as well as ease of quilting! Try it, you will know what I am talking about!

Shipping free for all our needles no matter where you are in the world. Start using Thimblelady's needles and achieve better result without pain!
