DIY Qbotting:

DIY Qbot machine quilting: After making a few quilts myself, I have found the best way to learn to DIY Qbotting is to make a few small quilts following my new working menu at the Shop. Just follow the menu, you will find it the most effecient way to learn. At a cost of only $20/hour (Plus extra $20 if you require a teacher), you have no worry to take your time to work your way through at your own pace. Of course, We'll help you on the first quilt sample you make... Come with a lap size or single bed size quilt and quilt it. I'll also have a  teaching video online (soon) on how to use the Qbot - so you can learn online before you book a day to quilt your quilt. New sewing machine servce (cleaning and repair):
We services all brands of sewing machines. Pick up date is every Friday. It usually takes a week unless advised otherwise. So drop your machine in Thursday to Fri morning to have it serviced or repaired in a week.

Project tuition:
Those of you need advice and hands on tuition before, during your making of a quilt,  can book a 1 on 1 tuition with Liuxin, whether you want design advise, or technical know-how. It is $40/hour or $80/day. For example, quilter, Barbara, came with a unfinished top rather distorted. We discussed what the final result she wants to achieve... then I gave her all the options to achieve it. After Barbara chose the option she likes, she brought her quilt to the shop to learn and sew - She was charged by the hour only when she needs help. The time she is working on my instructions is free.This way, Barbara works at her own pace while taking in instructions enough for plenty homework for most cost effective learning. Booking is essential.

Week day classes:
In 2010, all our project classes (except the skill classes of Quilting and Applique) can be taken during weekdays. Booking is essential. Pick the days suits you the best, and phone shop (02 84111151). During weekdays, no more than 3 bookings/day.
