Thornleigh Shop has had a complete make over!

Shop 2 is now the shop/showroom with Qbot long arm sewing machine for Friends DIY: Friends can shop during the 7 days opening of everymonth but no obligation to buy anything from Thimblelady. We are not moving our retail online with the most competitive online prices! When Friends visit the shop/showroom, Friends are welcome to self service whether cut and buy any materials or everything else. Thimblelady won't be your shop assistant anymore! And no bargaining at Thimblelady. Our price at the shop or online is the same! Check out our website for all pricing before you come. Shop 2 will be closed outside the currently trading hours even if the Shop 1 can be booked any days by Friends for stitching or teaching. 

Shop 1 with a separate entrance is now Thimblelady Club house for Friends with a fridge, a microwave oven and water and clean toilet. Not to mention, our 6 private parking space and free visitors parking underground, easy access to public transport. 

1. Friends help Friends is a dedicated time for Friends to come together to sit and sew any projects and get light help from fellow Friends. Booking is not required. It is $15/day between 9:30am -4:30pm during 1st to 7th of every month. Regular bookings are welcome. Club house can be rented by Friends for teaching or other relevant activities 

2. Friends learning and teaching can be organized easily. Private Tuition with Liuxin (one-on-one or one-on-several) can be booked with Liuxin or online directly on www.thimblelady.com.au. Friends who can sew well but can't design are welcome to tutor Thimblelady designs a Friend has purchased and made to fellow Friends at the Club House.

To teach a Thimblelady project, just bring the project or a picture of the project to the Club House and place it on the table for Friends samples with contact information and a class date.   

3. Thimblelady welcome all talented teachers and designers with original techniques and designes to become Thimblelady Friend and teach at Thimblelady Club House privately. We encourage all Friends to teach Friends only as our Friends have committed to fair trading and won't rip you off. Friends will have keys to the Club House. I will not be involved in fellow Friends classes. 

All designers and talented teachers are welcome to become Thimblelady Friends. All Friends are welcome. Friends with own books and designs are welcome to sell them during your own classes without commission to Thimblelady. Thimblelady will only charge a fee of $15/pp to the Friend as rent for use of the club space- so be sure to include this cost in your class fee.  

Teaching a design or a technique out of a fellow designer's book is not permitted without selling a copy of the designer's book to each participant unless given specific written permission by the designer or an acceptable compensation to the original designer. Replace fellow designers' books/DVDs or designers with a "recommendation" to purchase is a rip off! Thimblelady and Friends stand against this dishonest practice!

How to apply teaching at the Club House? 

Many expressed interests in teach at the shop before. I never figured out how to make it work in the simpliest way. Here is how: 

All Friends are welcome to offer teaching at the Club House. Plan a date outside the first 7 days of every month, book the date with Thimblelady with a $60 minimum up front rent and $15/pp if and when more than 4 participants attend a class.
